Kreszentia Ashford, PsyD, LCPC, CST, Pact I
AASECT Certified Sex Therapist
Dr. Kres Ashford is a Queer Professional Kinkster, Clinical Psychologist, and holistic therapist with nearly two decades of experience supporting individuals and couples across a wide spectrum of mental, emotional, and sexual health concerns. Her work honors the complexity of human connection—whether with self, partners, or community—by integrating relational healing, sexual wellness, and emotional resilience.
She specializes in sex therapy, alternative relationship structures, kink and BDSM, as well as individual concerns such as women’s issues, anxiety, self-worth, trauma recovery, and identity exploration. She offers clients a space that is affirming, stigma-free, and grounded in both clinical expertise and lived experience.
With over 19 years of experience serving LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and underserved communities, Dr. Ashford is committed to making high-quality, culturally competent care accessible. Her approach is warm, honest, trauma-informed, and rooted in the belief that every person deserves to thrive in both their inner and relational worlds.
Dr. Ashford believes that sexual and mental health are inseparable—and that exploring one can heal the other. She blends Gottman-informed couples work, somatic awareness, and sex therapy training to support clients navigating everything from intimacy challenges and betrayal to anxiety and burnout. Her current doctoral research in Clinical Sexology at the Modern Sex Therapy Institute explores kink as a form of somatic healing in BIPOC populations.
Online and in her private practice, she creates inclusive spaces for education, dialogue, and healing—amplifying topics often left in the dark. When she’s not working with clients or building her platforms, she enjoys dancing, swimming, bodybuilding, and spending time with her wife and kids.
